SOLUTION: This double bearing reel has such a scheme that, a conductor 20 is rotatable together with a spool 8 as a unit under pressure contact on the spool 8 by the aid of a changeover member 34; the conductor 20 is subjected to braking force through magnetic flux due to a 1st magnetic body 31 and a 2nd magnetic body 32, thereby the rotation of the spool 8 being in rotation together with the conductor 20 as a unit is braked; when the spool 8 rotates at a low speed, its rotation is intensely braked; in contrast, when the spool 8 rotates at a high speed, its rotation is weakly braked because the spool 8 and the conductor cannot rotate as a unit.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten the spool of double bearing reel for fishing in the degree not to damage inertia force. SOLUTION: A spool 4 is supported so as to be freely rotated between left and right frame plates 1a and 1b of reel framing 1 and linked through a driving transmission system to a handle 7. The spool 4 is formed on a hollow-shaped main body 4a of the spool and both the ends are supported through respective bearings 5 and 6 onto the left and right frame plates. Inside the driving force transmission system, a clutch mechanism is provided for switching the spool between a fishing line take-up state and fishing line feed-out state. Since the main body of spool is a hollow body having no spool shaft, it is lightened in weight and since the spool barrel part is formed in small diameter, it is miniaturized. Besides, since most of component mass exists at positions away from the rotational center of spool, free rotation is easily maintained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the reversal prevention device of a reel for fishing, capable of quick operation, with excellent rotation control force and durability. SOLUTION: An outer ring body 11 is supported to a reel frame plate 2 coaxially to a handle shaft 6 and the inner peripheral surface of the outer ring body is circular. An inner ring body 12 is fixed to the handle shaft 6 rotatably along with the handle shaft and the outer peripheral surface forms a square cam surface facing the outer ring body. An annular holding body 14 is arranged integrally with the inner ring body in the annular clearance of the inner ring body and the outer ring body. A roller 13 is held inside the annular holding body 14 and the roller is provided slidably to the inner ring body and the outer ring body. When the inner ring body and the annular holding body are rotated in one direction by the rotation in the position direction of the handle shaft, the roller is moved near the side part of the inner ring body and the rotation in the same direction of the handle shaft becomes possible. When the handle shaft is to be rotated in the other direction, the roller is moved to the corner part direction of the inner ring body and held between the inner ring body and the outer ring body and the rotation in the same direction becomes impossible by a wedge action.

SOLUTION: An inner member 12 is fixed to a reel case 2 coaxially with a handle shaft 6. The outer circumference of the inner ring member has a nearly regular tetragonal form. A flange part 15 is coaxially fixed to the handle shaft 6 and an outer ring member 11 having circular inner circumference is fixed to the flange 15 in a state opposite to the inner ring member. A rotatably switching member 14 is provided to move a roller 13, which is placed in a ring-shaped guide groove between the inner ring member and the outer ring member. When the roller 13 is moved toward the edge of the outer ring member, it is clamped between the inner ring member and the outer ring member to obstruct the rotation in one direction by the wedge action. When the roller 13 is moved in the other direction, the roller is positioned opposite to the side of the inner ring member to allow the rotation of the roller in both directions.
