    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxygen sensor kit which is reliable in action, is easy in assembly and is recyclable. SOLUTION: This oxygen sensor kit is constituted to include a unit 1 by a supporting body 10 which is formed with a spherical surface part 11 at its front end, a metallic plate material 12 which is housed in the central region of this spherical surface part 11 so as to expose its surface and constitutes a working electrode connectable outside by a lead wire 14 and a metallic plate material 24 which is fixed to the flank part of the supporting body 10 and constitutes a counter electrode connectable to the outside by this lead wire 23. As a result, the metallic plate material 12 constituting the working electrode is fixed to the spherical surface part 11 at the front end and the metallic plate material 24 constituting the counter electrode to the flank thereof and, therefore, an oxygen permeable membrane is spread so as to be formed as thin as possible in the layer thickness of the electrolyte near the working electrode. In addition, the easy hermetic fixation by elastic fasteners is made possible.

    • PURPOSE:To regulate pH and to reduce a dark current by providing a work electrode having a noble metal layer in a through hole of a sidewall of a vessel, and filling an opposite electrode, alkaline electrolyte containing iodide ion, etc., in a cell covered outside with gas-permeable and water-repellent diaphragm. CONSTITUTION:A work electrode 3 formed with a gold layer on a stainless steel board is provided in a through hole 2 provided at one surface of a cell vessel 1, a PTEF film 4 having gas permeability, water repellency is extended on an outer surface, and a retainer cover 7 having an inlet 7b is fixed to its outside through a packing 5. A noble metal opposite electrode 8 and a reference electrode 9 are provided at predetermined intervals from the electrode 3 in the vessel 1, and a measuring circuit is connected to the electrodes. Electrolyte is regulated to pH of 7-9 by adding pH regulator to aqueous solution of KI, KIO3, KOH. When the pH is 7 or less, a dark current is abruptly increased, while when the pH is 8 or more, an output current is rapidly decreased. Accordingly, when the pH is regulated to 7-9, influence of unevenness of hydrogen ion concentration can be reduced while suppressing the dark current.

    • PURPOSE:To selectively sense the acetilene contained in an insulating oil. CONSTITUTION:At a window 3 installed in the wall surface of a vessel 2 a working electrode 4 is furnished, in which a metal 4b is formed on a diaphragm 4a consisting of a porous insulative film, while a reference electrode 7 is arranged at a window 5 installed in the other side wall surface, and therein dilute sulfuric acid is accommodated as an electrolyte 8. By a constant voltage circuit 10 a potential is impressed between these working electrode 4 and reference electrode 7, which is higher than the oxidating potential than acetylene and lower than the oxidating potential of ethylene. The acetylene having passed through the diaphragm 4a is oxidated and generates an oxidative current between the electrodes which is proportioned to the concentration. No electrolytic current will be generated even though ethylene passes the diaphragm 4a. Hydrogen, ethane, methane, CO, and CO2 are also contained in insulating oil, but a gas sensor 1 of constant voltage electrolysis type exhibits a very low sensitivity to these components, and therefore the acetylene in the insulating oil can be sensed with high sensitivity as long as the ethylene sensitivity is set low relative to the acetylene.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make accurate calibration by installing a sensor with a memory means storing the date of production and the change data of sensitivity after lapse of time, calculating the period after production with a control means, and making a calibrating action based on the change data after lapse of time. SOLUTION: This measuring device is provided with a calibrating circuit 22 making span adjustment and zero-point adjustment and a display driving means 23. A control means 26 reads the data of the nonvolatile writable memory of a sensor and a calibration data memory means 25 via an interface 24 based on the command of a control panel 2 and control the inspection of the compatibility of the sensor and a calibrating action. When the shipped sensor is delivered to an end user and the gas sensor is replaced, whether it is a compatible sensor or not is judged. When the compatible sensor is installed, the elapsed period after production is calculated based on the date of production in the nonvolatile writable memory and the built-in clock of the gas measuring device, the initial value of a sensor cell is calculated based on the elapsed period and the change data after the lapse of time, and the initial value is used as calibration data for calibration.

    • PURPOSE:To measure the density of chlorine ion accurately irrelevant to the presence of melamine sulfonate, by adding boric acid to a ready-mixed concrete to perform a measurement with the density of hydrogen ion below 7.0. CONSTITUTION:A chlorine ion measuring electrode body 1 is made of a sensitive film 3 comprising a mixture of silver chloride and silver sulfide fixed at one end of a cylindrical support 2 and a silver line 4 connected to the back of the film 3. A comparison electrode body 5 is made up of a potassium chloride liquid 8 housed in a container 7 forming a liquid junction 6 at the tip thereof and an internal pole 9 comprising silver chloride immersed thereinto. When the electrode bodies 1 and 5 thus obtained are immersed into a top liquid of the ready-mixed concrete to measure the density of chlorine ion, boric acid is added beforehand to shift the density of hydrogen ion below 7.0. This enables accurate measurement of the density of chlorine ion with dissociation made impossible even in the presence of melamine sulfonate.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect low-concentration ammonia gas by suppressing sensitivity for carbon dioxide gas, hydrogen and organic solvent as much as possible. SOLUTION: A window 3 sealed by a diaphragm 4, wherein an acting electrode 4b is formed of a porous film 4a on the side of electrolyte 2, is provided in a cell 1. In this cell 1, the neutral electrolyte 2 containing ethylene glycol and a counter electrode 7 are accommodated. At the same time, the potential of the acting electrode 4b is maintained at 0-450mV for a silver/silver chloride electrode in potassium-chloride electrolyte of 0.1mol. The ammonia, which is dissolved into the electrolyte 2 from the diaphragm 4, undergoes dissociation reaction and oxidation reaction at the acting electrode 4b and forms the electrons in proportion to the concentration. In the meantime, hydrogen and the organic solvent cannot generate electrolytic current because the oxidation power of the acting electrode 4b is weak. Furthermore, the oxidation and reduction reaction of carbon dioxide gas are suppressed by the ethylene glycol.

CONSTITUTION:A window 2 is provided to a container 1 storing an electrolyte 6 whose hydrogen ion concn. is about 10 -10 mol/l to be sealed by a gas permeable membrane 7 and a metal layer 9 is arranged in the vicinity of the window 2 to form an acting electrode and a metal electrode becoming an opposed electrode is immersed in the electrolyte 6. Potential oxidizing the metal layer 9 is applied to the metal layer 9 to form metal oxide and potential reducing said metal oxide is applied to generate reducing reaction of PtO+2 H +2e Pt+H2O and the reducing current at this time is set to a measured value. Since this reducing reaction is performed in the presence of a hydrogen ion, the potential applied to the acting electrode becomes a value smaller than the absolute value of the potential generating the electrolysis of water and, therefore, the concn. of gas to be inspected can be rapidly measured with high sensitivity without receiving the effect due to the electrolysis of water.
