摘要： PURPOSE:To increase the speed of both side image forming processing onto a sheet by using a page memory and delaying the output of a read image corresponding to the rear surface of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:In one-to-one high speed both-side mode, a frame memory is used to form an image in different order from page order for reading. In other words, first, the image of a page on the right side of a spread is formed on the surface of a first transfer paper, to attain both-side carrying. Second, two- or three-pages of the spread are read and stored in a frame. Third, the image data of three-page is first read from the frame memory and formed as the image on the surface of a second transfer paper and attain the both-side carrying. Forth, the first transfer paper of a both-side stack position is refed, the image data of two-page is read from the frame memory and formed as the image on the rear surface of the first transfer sheet and it is ejected. Subsequently, successive output in the order reverse from that in a spread page for reading is executed so that the both-side copying of a book original can be attained at high speed.

Moreover, when an original set onto a contact glass 206 is read, the optical path between the 1st mirror and the 2nd mirror 220 is changed over to the position of the contact glass 206 by the movement of a changeover mirror. Then an image on an original on the contact glass 206 lighted by fluorescent lamps 203, 204 is reflected alternately in a 2nd mirror 220 and a 3rd mirror 221 similarly to the case with the book original and formed on the CCD 101 through the lens 216 with reduction.

At this time, the rear end regulating roller 10 is inertially rotated together with the separated packing sheet so as to prevent the increase of frictional force between the pack unsealing drive roller 2a and the rear end regulating roller 10.

After unpacking is completed, the paper bundles which are made loose at the time of unpacking as mentioned above are aligned, and a space between the side fences 7 is made wider by 1mm (for example) than the paper width so that paper sheets may not be caught in the side fences during paper feeding.
