摘要： PURPOSE:To surely prevent the splashing of toner near both ends of the aperture of a developing case by providing side seals consisting of porous and air permeable sheets to allow the passage of only the air at both ends of the aperture of the developing case. This developing device is constituted by providing the side seals 17 consisting of the porous and air permeable sheets to allow the passage of only the air at both ends of the aperture 4 of the developing case 3. The side seals may be preferably made of the air permeable sheets consisting of non-woven fabrics of high-density polyethylene. As a result, the amt. of the toner to be splashed from both ends of the aperture 4 of the developing case 3 to the outside of the developing case 3 is drastically decreased. The kinds of the seal is selectable to meet the grain sizes of the toner.

The cleaning device 6 is fluctuated and displaced and the tube 14 is also moved in a direction shown by an arrow. Then, when the aperture hole 32A1 is made to be the long aperture hole in the moving locus direction so as to allow the tube 14 to be moved, excess load other than the own weight of the cleaning device 6 is not added to the device 6 itself. Thus, the discharged toner is collected without trouble.
