摘要： PURPOSE:To restrain transfer of information from/to a main body to the minimum extent, so as to attempt facilitation of connection to the main body by providing a means for setting and releasing a punch mode on a post processing device side. CONSTITUTION:A paper sheet conveyed from an image forming device 1 is guided to a paper sheet conveying path in a paper sheet post processing device (sorter) 2 and discharged onto a bin after being punched by a punch unit on the conveying way. In this case, a punch selecting/releasing switch and a control panel for performing the selection display, the alarm display and the gas full display are provided on the paper sheet post processing device 2 side in order to control the operation of the punch unit. Thereby, the change on the main body side is restrained to the minimum extent of a mode clear signal and a sort stack signal and to the extent that the main body control unit is not affected. Accordingly, a post processing device having punch function can be easily connected to the main body not taking punch function into account.

In this way, the image and the punched holes 27 are not overlapped by each other.

Since the sheet skewing timing can be set by the driven side inlet roller 132, the sheet can be skewed sufficiently in the limited carrier distance.

When jam is caused in an after-processing device during paper carriage, the inlet port guide plates 113, 114 are immediately changed over to the lower side so as to discharge the inside paper in the copying machine main body. This changeover can be performed from both the after- processing device side and the copying machine main body side, and even with manual operation.

When the number of copy papers stacked on the stapling part exceeds a set number-of- copy paper value, the belt driving motor 22 of a discharge belt mechanism is turned ON to drive a discharge belt 17 and the copy recording paper group already stacked on a stapling apparatus part is discharged to a paper discharge tray 53 by said belt without being stapled. The remaining papers fed in the stapling apparatus part are once stacked on the stapling apparatus part and, after stacking is completed, said recording papers are discharged to the paper discharge tray 53. By this method, the generation of jamming is prevented and copy processing operation is not interrupted in the prescribed number of papers.
