CONSTITUTION:Insulating boards 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D of a material such as FRP are provided around a superconductive coil 3A which is fixed and hardened into a race- track shape by one-body forming by a method such as molding, and the outside of the boards 4A-4D is surrounded by a pair of spacers 5A, 5B which are separated into upper and lower portions. T-shaped junction flanges 7AA, 7AB, 7BA, 7BB are provided at the junction portions of the respective spacers 5A, 5B and those flanges 7AA, 7AB, 7BA, 7BB have such a construction that they can be deformed elastically by providing grooves 10 with large radius at their flange portions. These flanges are tightened and connected by bolts and so forth. Thus the superconductive coil 3A is protected from deformation and movement so that it is fixed and stabilized completely.

Those welded portions are so arranged that they are not positioned overlapping the portions 1AA, 1BA where the dimension of the facing arcs, namely the radius of curvature is larger. With said method, the outer dimensions of the inner chamber can be reduced and the reinforcement against the inner pressure can be achieved.
