    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propylene-based polymer which can reduce fish eyes of a surface protecting film. SOLUTION: A process for producing the propylene-based polymer includes a first step of subjecting propylene to bulk polymerization of at least two stages in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst, a second step of polymerizing propylene and another olefin in the presence of the polymer obtained in the first step, and a third step of granulating the polymer obtained in the second step. The propylene-based polymer satisfies (1) a melt flow rate (MFR) of 1-10 g/min, (2) an n-decane soluble content of 5-15 wt.%, (3) a ratio of [η]ep to [η]h of 0.8-1.2, (wherein [η]ep is an intrinsic viscosity of the n-decane soluble component and [η]h is an intrinsic viscosity of an n-decane insoluble component), and (4) a content of an ethylene unit in the n-decane soluble component of not more than 40 mol%.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film for a retort food package which is excellent in transparency, impact-resistance, heat sealing property and heat resistance at satisfactory balance. SOLUTION: The film for the retort food package comprises a propylene-based random block copolymer (A) comprising 90-80 wt.% of a portion (D insol ) which is insoluble in n-decane at room temperature has been polymerized by a metallocene catalyst system, has a melt flow rate of 1-10 g/10 min and a melting point of 150-155°C and satisfies the following (1)-(3), and 10-20 wt.% of a portion (D sol ) which is soluble in n-decane at room temperature and satisfies the following (4)-(6). (1) Molecular weight distribution of D insol is 1.0-3.5, (2) an ethylene content in D insol is 0.5-13 mol%, (3) total of 2,1-insertion bonding amount and 1,3-insertion bonding amount of propylene in D insol is 0.2 mol% or less, (4) molecular weigh distribution of D sol is 1.0-3.5, (5) intrinsic viscositiy [η] in decalin of 135°C of D sol is 1.5-4.0 dL/g, and (6) an ethylene content in D sol is 15-35 mol%.
