    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device which prevents an optical recording medium from colliding with an object lens at recording and reproducing and also prevents the optical recording medium from colliding with a lens protector member at insertion.SOLUTION: A lens driving device includes a lens holding part 20 which is mounted to an actuator base through suspension wires, and an object lens which is provided in the lens holding part 20 and disposed opposite to a recording surface of an optical recording medium D. An inclination 202B, which guides at insertion of the optical recording medium D on the upstream side in an insertion direction In of the optical recording medium D, is provided around the object lens in the lens holding part 20. The lens holding part 20 is provided with a lens protector member 40 which prevents the optical recording medium D from colliding with the object lens. The lens protector member 40 has a collision buffering material 402 which projects from a base 401 and whose tip part forms an inclined plane. A tip end position CT of the inclination 202B is lower than a tip end position PT of the collision buffering material 402, and located closer to the tip side than a boundary K between the base 401 and the collision buffering material 402.
