      SOLUTION: An original platen is configured such that the original platen is located that the end of the original platen is in contact with the end of a fixed cover, the end of the original platen is supported from both sides of the end by a turning fulcrum provided to the fixed cover, and the original platen is foldable onto an upper cover. A recessed part with a shape corresponding to the shape of the original platen to accommodate the folded original platen is provided to the upper face of the upper cover, and when the original platen is folded, the upper face of the upper cover configures a curved shape continuous to the upper face of the fixed cover.

The original exiting platen and the original platen are configured to overlap each other when the original exiting platen and the original platen are folded onto the upper cover.

Therefore, operability in angle adjustment of the display unit can be improved. Further, the reduction of parts and the improvement in assemblability can be contrived.

The cross sections of the auxiliary member 2 are formed in an L- or U-shape, and a viscoelastic layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive double coated tape is placed on these two or more cross sections. In this way, the reduction of the weight and cost can be attained without increasing noise during printing.

By one sheet of the spring plate 16, the movable peripheral device 7 can be directly grounded to the main body frame 2 all the time. Furthermore, the aluminum vapor deposition process to the intermediate member is not required, and the recycling of the intermediate member is made possible.

Furthermore, the electronic unit 1 comprises a support member which arranged a printed circuit board 13 along the inner side walls of the base frame 2 and controls the position of the printed circuit board 13 bearing against the other side of the base frame 2 and a guide part which is formed in one piece with the inner walls of the base frame 2. By this setup, the base frame 2 can dispense with a space which is usually provided in both a lateral and a horizontal direction other than a space for the electronic unit 1, so that no dead space is formed, and the space of an electronic apparatus can be effectively utilized.
