SOLUTION: The high-frequency treatment instrument for the endoscope has the rod-shaped high-frequency electrode 2 disposed at a distal end part of an insulated flexible sheath 1. The rod-shaped high-frequency electrode 2 can be operated to project/retract from the distal end of the flexible sheath 1 by a conductive control wire 3 which is inserted/disposed into the flexible sheath 1 in such a way as movable forward/backward. The rod-shaped high-frequency electrode 2 is separated from the control wire 3 and disposed in such a way as movable forward/backward in the axial direction, so that the rod-shaped high-frequency electrode 2 can be detached from the flexible sheath 1 independently of the control wire 3.
