      SOLUTION: This moving image decoder 100 is provided with a dummy packet inserting part 105A for inserting a dummy packet 221 into a boundary between sections TS1 and TS2 of a moving picture stream 131; a DEMUX part 106 for dividing a moving image stream 132, with the dummy packet 221 inserted thereinto into video streams 133 and 135, and sound streams 134 and 136; a seamless detecting part 107 for detecting that the position where the dummy packet 221 is inserted is a boundary between the video streams 133 and 135 and the sound streams 134 and 136; and a decoding part 109 for decoding the video streams 133 and 135 and the audio streams 134 and 136 and performing seamless reproducing proocessing of the boundary detected by the seamless detecting part 107.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving image decoding device which can perform decoding in time sharing without making as extra vacant time as possible by utilizing a decoder fully. SOLUTION: The moving image decoding device includes a buffer memory 202 which accumulates moving image streams from a plurality of channels, a video decoder 204 which decodes the moving image streams of the plurality of channels read out from the buffer memory 202, a frame buffer 206 which stores the moving image data of the moving image streams of the plurality of channels decoded by the video decoder 204, a display control portion 207 which reads out the moving image data stored in the frame buffer 206 and outputs the moving image data in a moving image signal, and a decode control portion 208 which changes the supply of moving image stream of the channels from the buffer memory 202 to the video decoder 204, thereby, allowing the video decoder 204 to perform decoding in time sharing.
