SOLUTION: An optical disk recording apparatus divides the high resolution video signal into the main signal and a sub signal by a video separating means, and alternately records a first interleave block 54 and a second interleave block 55 on the optical disk 1, which are divided blocks of each streams encoded by the MPEG into frame groups of 1 GOP (Group of Pictures) or more. A first interleave block 54 and a second interleave block 55, in which respective streams subjected to MPEG coding are divided into frame groups with 1 GOP or more, are recorded alternately on an optical disk 1.
