摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knee support for an automobile having a crosswise support to be installed inside the vehicle body, extending crosswise relative to the vehicle longitudinal direction, held on a body side structure which is strong, and furnished with at least one deformable member, wherein the deformable member is furnished with a hollow support defined by a number of support walls and is covered with the support walls facing the knees of a passenger. SOLUTION: The knee support includes the deformable members 14, 15, 16 and 17 furnished with a first hollow support portion 18 oriented along a support wall 9 and a second hollow support portion 19 as an additional member for optimizing the knee support having the deformable members in order to perform high deformation work in the event of the specified collision for protecting the passenger, wherein the second hollow support portion is positioned at an angle γ relative to the first hollow support portion 18, and the second hollow support portion 19 is fixed to the crosswise support 13.
