The angle θof the optical axis of the objective lens 4 for setting the image height of the objective lens 4 with respect to the optical axis is regulated to determine θin such a manner that the astigmatism occurring in consequence of the image height of the objective lens 4 and the astigmatism by the factor of the optical system exclusive thereof are negated with each other, by which the astigmatism possessed by the optical system may be minimized.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recorder which properly controls a laser power, records at a constant turning angle velocity onto an optical disk corresponding to CLV(contact linear velocity) system, and is able to search at a high-speed in a record sequence.
      SOLUTION: On an information recorder, a DVD-R 1 is driven to rotate by a spindle motor 17, etc., with a constant turning angle velocity. A wobbling signal is obtained by a wobbling signal generating part 22 from a push-pull signal based on the reflected light of a light beam emitted by an optical pickup, and is binarized by a binarizing circuit 23, and then, the wobbling frequency is detected by a frequency detecting part 24 and outputted to a CPU 11. Based on this, the CPU calculates the optimal recording power of semiconductor laser 14a corresponding to the linear velocity of the DVD-R 1, and instructs a power control part 16 for a laser driving circuit 15 to drive the semiconductor laser 14a with this optimal recording power. Consequently, it is possible to perform a laser power control accurately following up the variation in the linear velocity of the DVD-R 1 when written, and also to perform a high speed search even in a record sequence.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent an erroneous recording by discriminating whether the disk is not recorded yet or already recorded in the manner that the kind of the disk is decided by detecting reflectances of two or more lights having different wavelengths against the optical disk. CONSTITUTION:One of the output signals of a tilt sensor 2 is supplied to an output terminal through an operational amplifier 7 as the use for detecting the tilt of the disk. Another output of the sensor 2 is supplied to an arithmetic circuit 17 through an operational amplifier 8 as a DC output signal 1 (circled mark) for detecting the kind of the disk. One of the output signals from an optical pickup 3 is supplied to an output terminal 14 through an operational amplifier 9. Another output signal is supplied to the circuit 17 through an operational amplifier 10 as a DC output signal 2 (circled mark) for detecting the disk. The reflecting light of the disk 1 is detected by a PD and inputted to the circuit 17 through an operational amplifier 11 as a DC signal 3 (circled mark) for detecting the kind of the disk. The reflectances of three kinds of lights are calculated by the circuit 17, and from these outputs, the kind of the disk is discriminated by a detection circuit 18.
