    • PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to manufacture the shape of a coupler frame at every screen size by making constant the angle between the tube surface of a projecting tube and the optical axis an image surface correcting lens, and setting the angle between the tube surface and the optical axis of an image forming lens by means of the angle between the optical axis of the image formation correcting lens and the optical axis of the image forming lens. CONSTITUTION:On a coupler frame 41, an angle theta (a coupler inclining angle) formed by the surface, where a meniscus lens 42 is attached, and the surface, where a tube surface 5a of a projecting tube 5 is stuck, is set at a value determined beforehand. At such a time, the inclining angle of a flange 22 of a barrel supporting part 2, namely, an angle (correction angle) alpha formed by the lens surface of a lens barrel 1 and the lens surface of the meniscus lens 42 is set by regulating the length of a fixed seat 41a formed on the coupler frame 41 by means of cutting. Thus, even when the coupler frame where the coupler inclining angle theta may not correspond to a shine proof angle is used, the coupler in the same shape can be used.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the titled lens system capable of withstanding to a temperature change by interposing a liquid lens which has a temperature coefficient of refractive index of a specific value to a space between a convex lens made of a plastic material and a plastic lens or a glass lens. CONSTITUTION:The liquid lens E1 having the negative power is interposed to the space between the convex lens L1 composed of the plastic material and the lens L2. The liquid materials of the lens E1 and a coolant E2 are composed of a liquid or a gel material having temperature coefficient (dn/dT), which denotes the temperature dependency in refractive index and satisfies the formula of -4X10 . And, the lens L2 is composed of the plastic material or the glass. The temperature change of the refractive index of the whole of the integrated lens is compensated by the lens E1, by constituting the assemble of the lens as mentioned above. Thus, at the time of applying the titled lens system to a projection TV, even if the temperature of the lens remarkably changes, the imaging plane of the lens does not move, and the resolution of the image on a screen does not deteriorate, and the image having high quality can be maintained.

    • PURPOSE:To attain maximum brightness in dependence upon the angle of the eye viewing the screen by arranging a Fresnel lens placed between a lentiscreen and a projecting lens so as to be movable vertically. CONSTITUTION:The image light projected by a projection tube 1 is projected by way of a projection lens 2 onto a lentiscreen 4 and the thus projected image is viewed from the side opposite to the projection surface by the projection tube 1. The Fresnel lens 3 is placed between the lentiscreesn 4 and the projection lens 2 in the rear projection television and adapted to be movable vertically. For example, when the Fresnel lens 3 is moved up, since the center C of the Fresnel lens 3 is offset from the center C' of the screen, the optical axis is offset from the projection lens 2 upwards at the center C of the screen. Therefore, the brightness becomes maximum with the viewing position of the screen 4 above the center C of the screen to increase the gain.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an optical prism which is light in weight, low in cost and large in size by providing plate-shaped members having dichroic mirror faces or total reflection faces and a basic block of a prism or basic block of a liquid material which makes optical coupling with the plate-shaped members. CONSTITUTION:The plate-shaped members 22, 23 such as glass plates are optically coupled to the basic block 21 consisting of glass, plastic or liquid material or the liquid material is filled to a die casting, etc., and the plate-shaped members 22, 23 consisting of the glass plates, etc. are fixed thereto, by which the dichroic mirror using the total reflection faces or vapor deposited dichroic mirror faces of the plate-shaped members 22, 23 is formed. Since the surface accuracy of the total reflection faces or vapor deposited dichroic mirror faces of the respective prisms is determined by the surface accuracy of the glass plates to be attached afterward, the basic block itself is merely required to have the rough accuracy. The use of plastic materials for the basic block 21 is thereby permitted, by which the formation of the prism by plastic moldings and the reduction in the weight and cost of the prisms are permitted.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the titled lens capable of removing changes of refractive index and a focal distance against a temperature change by providing a concave liquid lens having a specific value of temperature coefficient of the refractive index adjacent to a convex lens composed of a plastic material. CONSTITUTION:The concave liquid lens E1 is enclosed in a space between the convex lens L1 having the convex surface on one side and an aspherical lens L2 made of plastic material. The liquid materials of the lens E1 and a coolant E2 are composed of a liquid or a gel material which has the temperature coefficient (dn/dT), which denotes the temperature dependency in refractive index and satisfies the formula of -4X10 . Namely, the focus point and the focal surface are compensated against the temperature change by combining the convex lens and the concave lens. Thus, at the time of applying the titled lens to a projection TV, even if the temperature of the lens does not move, and the resolution of image on a screen does not deteriorate, and the image having high quality can be maintained.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a device and to even brightness at the right and left of a screen by offsetting the lens center line of two, a right and a left, projecting tubes from that of a central projecting tube and coinciding the videos of each projecting tube on a transmission screen. CONSTITUTION:The video rays of light of a green projecting tube 1G, a red projecting tube 1R and a blue projecting tube 1B are focused on lenses 2G, 2R and 2B and after they are reflected twice by two mirrors, being in focus on a transmission screen 5. At such a time, an intersection between the center lines 2Rs and 2Bs of the lenses 2R and 2B and the transmission screen 5 is offset approaching to each side nearer than the intersection between the center line 2Gs of the lens 2G and the transmission screen 5. Thus, the video centers of the projecting tubes 1R and 1B are positioned off the center of a picture plane, however, it is corrected to be almost even by a keystone distortion due to the difference between enlargement factors at the right and left of the picture plane.
