SOLUTION: In the grab bucket for dredging, the grab bucket is suspended by a supporting wire via an upper part supporting member and both right and left arms connected to the upper part supporting member freely swingably at their one ends and connected to the lower ends of buckets freely swingably at their other ends, and moreover, a connecting shaft freely turnably connecting the respective upper parts of the pair of buckets is raised and lowered in a vertical direction by an opening/closing wire in order to open/close the pair of right and left opposed buckets constituting the grab bucket. In the grab bucket 1, the connecting positions of the one ends of both the right and left arms in a right and left direction are respectively positioned on a straight line passing the connecting shaft of the pair of opposed right and left buckets and the cutting edges of the buckets in a closed condition. SOLUTION: This earth and sand reclamation device comprises a pontoon allowing the barge to berth alongside of it for the movement of the barge, a sounder installed on the pontoon, and a means for guiding the barge to the earth and sand chuting position with dimensional information on the barge and pontoon, positional and bearing information on the pontoon obtained from GPS position signals, and the earth and sand chuting position. An earth and sand reclamation method comprises the steps of making the barge alongside of the pontoon, guiding the barge to the earth and sand chuting position with the dimensional information on the barge and pontoon, positional and bearing information on the pontoon obtained from the GPS position signals, and the earth and sand chuting position, chuting earth and sand at the earth and sand chuting position, and measuring the depth by a sounder installed on the pontoon.

SOLUTION: By using GPS type ship position measuring equipment 13, the position of a ship 1 is measured and its corrective calculations are made for azimuth, pitch and roll data of gyrocompass 17, and it is guided to the target installation position while measuring the azimuth and position of a ship 1. After positioning the ship 1, a caisson is sunk, an ultrasonic type underwater position measuring equipment 14 is operated after sinking of the levee crown under sea surface, the distance from an echo sounder receiver on the ship 1 to the sunken caisson 2 and to the echo sounder transmitter installed on an existing caisson 15 is measured, then three-dimensional coordinates of the echo sounder transmitter are calculated, and the absolute position of the caisson 2 and the relative position to the existing caisson 15 are measured and they are guided to the sunk position while controlling the deviation of normal line and mesh intervals. Thus, ship maneuvering and positioning are made easier, and safe installation can be made possible while accurately knowing interval to the existing caisson 15.

The connecting shaft mutually and rotatably connecting upper parts of the pair of buckets is arranged to open and close the pair of facing right and left buckets. An arm closing means 6 moving both of the arms at least from the open state to the close state around the connecting part of the upper supporting member is arranged. The pair of buckets are closed around the connecting shaft by the intermediary of both of the arms closed by the arm closing means.
