    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and effective (high yield, high selectivity and low cost) process for production of a trifluorovinyl derivative from tetrafluoroethylene.SOLUTION: A process for production of a trifluorovinyl derivative is characterized by including a step of reacting tetrafluoroethylene with one organic metal compound selected from the group consisting of an organic metal compound RMgX (2-1), an organic metal compound RZn (2-2), an organic metal compound RZnX (2-3), and an organic metal compound (2-4) formed in a reaction system of the organic metal compound (2-1) and ZnX(2-4a), (wherein R represents a methyl group substituted by one or more substituents selected from the group consisting of an optionally substituted vinyl group and an optionally substituted aromatic cyclic group; and X represents Cl, Br or I) in the absence of a transitional metal catalyst.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new star polymer having stimulus responsiveness and antifouling property. SOLUTION: The star polymer includes a core part and three or more branch parts coupled to the core part. The core part is made of a crosslinked polymer of a dialkenyl compound. Part or all of the branch parts are monovalent organic groups having a number-average molecular weight of 1,000-1,000,000 represented by the formula (I f ): -(CH(-X-R 1 )-CH(-R 2 )) p -R f , wherein R 1 represents an unfluorinated monovalent organic group; R 2 represents H or alkyl; R f represents a fluorinated monovalent organic group; X represents a single bond, -O-, -S-, -NH- or -N(-CH 3 )-; and p represents an integer of ≥1.
