    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement point calculation apparatus and a method thereof capable of calculating a sufficient number of measurement points within an appropriate time even in a complicated projecting boundary having many control parameters.SOLUTION: A measurement point calculation apparatus 10 has a random number generation unit 21 generating random numbers. The measurement point calculation apparatus 10 determines a first measurement point within a range of a controllable region, calculates a temporary measurement point within the range of the controllable region based on the random numbers generated by the random number generation unit 21, and calculates an intersection of an extention of a straight line formed by connecting the determined first measurement point to the direction of the calculated temporary measurement point and the controllable region. Then, the measurement point calculation apparatus 10 calculates a second measurement point on the straight line connected to the intersection between the temporary measurement point and the intersection based on the random numbers generated by random number generation means. The measurement point calculation apparatus 10 repeats the calculation of the temporary measurement point, the calculation of the intersection, and the calculation of the second measurement point, with the calculated second measurement point defined as the first measurement point, so as to calculate the measurement point.
