    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber sensor capable of reducing the noise generated from turbulent flow or vibrating big plate.
SOLUTION: In order to achieve the fiber optic sensor having a big diaphragm, an optical fiber coil 16 is formed by spirally sticking an optical fiber 10 to an adhesive material 14 coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive. Alternatively, in order to detect a signal of a large band while reducing noise, a plurality of bent sections 22 are disposed in one diaphragm 18. Further, in order to reduce noise, an optical fiber sensor is attached to a ship via a flat spring 30 or the like, and components of the interferometer, such as an optical coupler 26 and a mirror 28, are integrated with the diaphragm 18 and a porous plate 24.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely measure a water level, by correcting the offset amount of a water-level measured value by a water level gage which measures the water level by converting the strain of a substance, such as a quartz crystal or the like.
SOLUTION: The water level gauge device is constituted with the water level gauge 1 which detects a change in a water pressure as a mechanical strain and which converts the degree of the strain into the water level so as to be measured, a water detection sensor 2 whose installation interval in the horizontal direction, with reference to the water level gauge, is set at a sort range which becomes the same water level, even when a water surface is fluctuated, whose installation interval in the vertical direction is set at a desired distance between an ordinary water level and the highest water level and which detects the existence of water and a water-level correction and computing means 3, by which the water-level measured value by the water level gauge is compared with the vertical-direction distance (water level) of the water detection sensor, installed with reference to a reference water level stored, in advance, at a timing for receiving a water-level detection signal from the water detection sensor, which finds their difference as the offset amount of the water level gauge and by which a correction value found by subtracting the offset amount from the water-level measured value by the water level gauge detected with reference to a changing water level is output as a correct water-level measured value, after that.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give pre-stress to a vibration element with fluid pressure. SOLUTION: Vibration elements 3, 4 in both sides are divided in series for arrangement in both end sides of the vibration elements 2 installed within a pressure-resistant cylinder 1, so that total shaft length becomes equal to the length of the shaft of the vibration element 2, the outermost end side of the both end side vibration elements 3, 4 is fixed to the internal surface of the pressure resistant cylinder 1 with terminal end plates 14a, 14b, and fluid pressure is introduced across the internal and external side fluid pressure plates by defining the area between the vibration element 2 and both side sides vibration elements 3, 4 with the slidable internal and external side fluid pressure plates 7a, 11a', 7b, 11b, while keeping the water tightness against the internal surface of the pressure resistant cylinder 1. Thereby, pre-stress is given to the fluid pressure in the vibration elements 2, 3, 4 and a magnetic field for excitation is given to the vibration element 2 and both end side vibration element 3, 4 by a signal of reverse phase.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical-fiber magnetic field sensor whose sensor sensitivity can be enhanced by separating the optical fiber guide of a sensing part in an optical fiber from the optical fiber guide of a reference part. SOLUTION: In this magnetic field sensor, a permanent magnet 4 is installed in advance between both ferrite magnetostrictive vibrators 1, and a magnetic field is applied to the inside of the ferrite magnetostrictive vibrators 1. When it is subjected to the magnetic field from the outside, the ferrite magnetostrictive vibrator 1 on one side is expanded, and the ferrite magnetostrictive vibrators 1 on the other side is contracted. Consequently, when optical fibers 6 are bonded to the ferrite magnetostrictive vibrator 1, the optical fibers 6 are expanded and contracted. The phase of light which passes the inside of the optical fibers 6 is changed, and the magnetic field can be detected. In this case, when the guide part 2 of a sensing part and the guide part 2 of a reference part are separated into a guide 2A and a guide 2B, the sensing part and the reference part are deformed independently. Consequently, it is possible to prevent the degradation of the sensor sensitivity of the magnetic field sensor. In addition, the optical fiber of the sensing part and that of the reference part are expanded and contracted in opposite directions, and the sensor sensitivity can be doubled.
