    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly transfer a medium without causing jamming after the completion of printing even when a rear end of the medium having a larger breadth than a printing unit folds or curves.
      SOLUTION: A plurality of guide projections 50 are set in parallel to a space movement direction of a printing unit 28 at part of a lower face of a leading end of an upper guide plate 11 forming a transfer path at the front side of a printing part. The guide projections restrict a rear end of a medium 49 or 51 having a larger breadth than the printing unit 28 not to fold or curve to pop up. When the medium 49 or 51 is printed to a last line, the rear end of the medium 49 or 51 is retained by the guide projections 50.

SOLUTION: Obliqueness of a medium 2 is corrected in the state in which it enters a medium conveying path 4. A stopper 21 and the pressure roller 5 are moved together so that they are closer to or distant from the medium. When the degree of obliqueness of the medium after obliqueness correction is over a permissible range, the pressure roller 5 enters the medium conveyance path further deeper. In an upstream side of an opening 12 provided in a part of the medium conveyance path 4, an upstream-side guide 13 having an inclined portion 13a pointed toward outside of the medium conveyance path is rotatably provided. In a downstream side of the opening 12, a downstream-side guide 14 having an inclined portion 14a with a distal end pointed toward the upstream side and outside of the medium conveyance path is rotatably provided. The downside guide is equipped with a projection which projects upward near an end of the platen 17 side.
