摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise corrosion resistance of an alumina sintered compact. SOLUTION: The density of a molding is densified by molding secondary particles formed by agglomerating primary particles of alumina and crystal particles can be rapidly grown in firing. The secondary particles are gradually preheated up to a temperature just before starting of sintering of alumina so that the secondary particles can be rapidly heated after then. Finally the secondary particles are rapidly heated to the sintering start temperature of alumina or higher than it and sintered so that the primary particles of alumina are mutually sintered, the crystal particles of sintered compact are rapidly grown, most of impurities existing on the surface of the primary particles of alumina are closed in the rapidly grown crystal particles. The amount of the impurities in the grain boundary of the sintered compact is reduced to raise corrosion resistance of sintered compact of alumina.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic adsorber which is of high mechanical strength and capable of efficiently adsorbing/removing various types of smell and harmful substance to be generated from a low molecular compound or a polymer com pound, regardless of their properties, hydrophilic or oleophilic, by sintering a molding containing an inorganic adsorbent, clay mineral and glass grit which are respectively in the specific weight ratio, at a specific temperature. SOLUTION: A composition containing (A) an inorganic adsorbent such as active carbon or zeolite, (B) clay mineral to be used as a binder when feldspar or kaolin is molded and (C) glass grit, is molded into a desired shape using water or a hydrophilic organic solvent such as alcohols and the molding is baked after drying. The blending ratio of each of components contained in the molding is 10-85 wt.% of (A) the inorganic adsorber and a total of 10-80 wt.% of (B) the clay mineral and (C) the glass grit, in terms of dry matter. The weight ratio of (B) and (C) is 20:80-80:20. The obtained molding is naturally dried or dried by a hot blast and is baked at 480-630 deg.C for a specified time. The ceramic adsorber is of high mechanical strength and is capable of efficiently adsorbing/removing a gaseous or liquid odor component or harmful substance.

A formed body forming a blend in which a blending ratio of the one kind oxide and the one kind material ore is (10-90):(90-10) is heated at 600-800 deg.C to evacuate and eliminate the vaporized substance, then burned.

摘要： PURPOSE: To produce a porous sintered body having functions such as deodorizing property, humidity controlling property and antibacterial property and utilized as a building material and a purifying material for various gases and liqs., especially a harmful substance adsorbing material. CONSTITUTION: Oyster shell powder and a composite of sepiolite are mixed as principal starting materials, a phosphate such as aluminum prim. phosphate as a binder, a metal oxide such as TiO2 or Al2 O3 as an auxiliary binder and a clay mineral are weighed and added and an antibacterial material (zeolite, calcium phosphate or sepiolite) with carried Ag or Cu ions and water are further added. They are stirred and mixed and the resultant mixture is cast as it is or the mixture is granulated and press-molded. After drying, sintering is carried out at 500-850 deg.C in a heating furnace to obtain the objective porous sintered body.

SOLUTION: The bonded body has the adsorptivity for water and ion exchanging property of a synthetic zeolite and an adsorptivity for an odorous component of an adsorbent such as activated carbon by using a synthetic zeolite as a binder for an adsorbent. When mist containing an odorous component is trapped the bonded body, first the synthetic zeolite absorbs water and then the absorbent adsorbs the isolated odorous component. Thus, the odorous component can be rapidly and continuously adsorbed and removed. Since the synthetic zeolite has an ion exchanging ability, the obtd. boy is suitable to trap or carry various metal ions.
