摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deposition of foreign matters on the surface of an electrode and to make stably useable the electrode over a long period even with a simple device constitution by forming a composite plating coating film dispersedly containing fluorine compd. fine particles, on an electrode base material and executing water electrolysis using it as an electrode. SOLUTION: The composite plating coating film obtd. by dispersedly incorporating nickel or the like with fluorine compd. fine particles is formed on an electrode base material of titanium or the like coated with platinum or the like as a catalyst to obtain an electrode for water electrolysis. As this fluorine compd. fine particles preferable contain polytetrafluoroethylene, a tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene copolymer, a tetrafluoroethylene- perfluoroalkylvinyl ether copolymer, graphite fluoride, pitch fluoride or the like, and, desirably, the grain size thereof is controlled to about =15 vol.%. Moreover, the thickness of the composite plating coating film is desirably controlled to about 5 to 30 μm. This electrode is the one excellent in water repellency, in which foreign matters are hard to be deposited, and exhibiting high electrolytic performance over a long period.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the degree of swirl under the same rank of required calorie without substantially changing an air/fuel ratio by a method wherein a swirling member is provided and introducing a gas containing oxygen for combustion and a fuel gas into a combustion space to form a swirl combustion flame. SOLUTION: A swirling member 16 comprises a melted liquid growth ceramic compound material obtained by a single way coagulation method and is disposed in or near a combustion flame 7 within a combustion space to swirl the flow of the combustion flame 7 with the adjusting of the degree of swirl. The swirling is accompanied by the altering of the degree of swirl. The swirl of the flame 7 is directly accomplished at a high temperature part in or near the flame. This enables control efficiency with a higher certainty while avoiding the loss of spiral energy as in the swirl control on the upstream side of the flame 7. In other words, the swirling member 16 can directly import higher intensity of swirl to the flame 7.
