摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture a filter paper which is small in pressure loss and inexpensive to manufacture and has a deodorizing function in addition to the conventional excellent dust collecting performance by mixing active carbon fiber, glass fiber and adhesive agent. CONSTITUTION:A filter paper is made by mixing active carbon fiber of 40-70wt.%, glass fiber of 20-40wt.% and adhesive agent of 1-4wt.%. The nominal specific surface area of the foregoing active carbon fiber is 700-2500m /g. As a result, a filter paper can be manufactured which, small in pressure loss and inexpensive to manufacture, features the deodorizing function in addition to the conventional excellent dust collecting performance.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous activated carbon filter which is free from the deterioration of the functional properties of fibrous activated carbon and decreases the pressure loss, and also can be used to its best advantage almost without suffering any adverse effects due to the shrinkage deformation of a filtering medium, even at a place where the regenerating process of the carbon takes place under a steam atmosphere. SOLUTION: Fibrous activated carbon nonwoven fabrics 2a, 2b of pitch based material with air permeability are arranged on both sides of netting 1 with a mesh of the opening ratio of 80% or more. In addition, the fibers of some parts of the fibrous activated carbon nonwoven fabrics 2a, 2b of the pitch based material are entangled each other through the mesh of the netting 1 to constitute a filtering medium A. Further, a bottomed cylindrical projecting parts 13a formed by making the upper end side of a lower projecting member 13a flat bottom face and a hollow cylindrical projecting part 14a on an upper projecting member 14 are spaced at a prescribed interval from each other, and metal netting 15 is connected across both projecting part 13a, 14a, and the filtering medium A is wound to cover the outer peripheral faces of both projecting parts 13a, 14a and the entire outer peripheral face of the metal netting 15 to constitute this fibrous activated carbon filter.
