CONSTITUTION:A timer circuit 4 measures actually the rise-up time Tp till detected temperature (t) by a room temperature sensor 1 reaches set temperature tx after the start of the operation, and stores it in a measurement circuit 6. At the start of the operation of the next time, the measured rise-up time Tp of the last time stored in the circuit 6 is outputted as the fixed warming-up time Tw from a warming-up time determination circuit 7 to the circuit 4. Besides, the time Tw is corrected by a correcting means 8 according to correlation data between the deviation of initial room temperature and a correction value Tr, and Tr is added to the time Tw. Thus, the time till the room temperature reaches the set temperature can be precisely achieved, and reliability in respect of a timer function can be extremely improved.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of overshoot due to an increase in exhaust heat demand amt. at an exhaust heat recovery part without affected by secular change or a variation in flow resistance. CONSTITUTION: A rapid decrease in exhaust heat demand amt. such as sudden suspension of warm water-absorption type refrigerator operation, etc., is detected from the temp. of cooling water supplied to a heat exchanger for heat radiation by means of an input temp. sensor 16. A control output of 30% is generated from feed forward side control means 22. Control output from a feedback side control means 23 is added to the 30%-control output. The added control output controls a three-way valve 12. Cooling water having some previously set amt., not the total amt. of the cooling water, is supplied to the heat exchanger for heat radiation. When exhaust heat recovery is restarted, the control output from the feed forward side control means 22 is retained to 30% by means of a cooling water temp. sensor 15 until the temp. of the cooling water returned to an engine cooling part becomes set temp. or below. Thus, returning the high-temp. cooling water due to overshoot to the engine cooling part is avoided.

    • PURPOSE: To improve an intake charging efficiency of an engine so as to improve engine efficiency by injecting water in a cylinder at the end of each exhaust stroke of the engine. CONSTITUTION: In the exhaust stroke of an engine, hot exhaust produced in an explosive stroke is forced out from an exhaust port 5 to an exhaust manifold by the rise of a piston 1. Even at the final stage of the exhaust stroke, hot exhaust remains in a piston clearance of approx. 1/10, for example, of a piston stroke displacement, where a compression ratio is 11. To improve this, a water supply-pipe is passed from a water reservoir 10 to a water injection nozzle 9, a plunger pump 11 to feed water intermittently is connected, and water is sprayed in residual exhaust at the end of the exhaust stroke for evaporation. By this, the hot exhaust is forced out from an exhaust port 5 as far as possible, and the temperature of residual gas as mixed gas of exhaust and water vapor is lowered, whereby the weight of sucked air is increased. Thus an intake charging efficiency is increased so as to increase the engine efficiency.

CONSTITUTION:A cogeneration system is provided with a hot water utilizing facility 4 for utilizing the heat source water running in the system heated by the heat generated from a generator driving engine 2, a first three-way valve 5 for adjusting the quantity of heat absorbed in the hot water utilizing facility, a second three-way valve 7 for adjusting the quantity of heat radiated from a radiator 6 for radiating the superfluous quantity of heat in the hot water utilizing facility to the outside, and a controller 8 for adjusting the second three-way valve 7 by carrying out feed-back control so that the inlet temperature detected by a temperature sensor 9 for detecting the engine inlet temperature of the heat source water becomes a specific temperature. The valve opening of the second three-way valve 7 determined by calculating the quantity of heat calculated from the deviation between the detection value of engine outlet temperature detected by a detector 18 and a set value, is added to the control output of the controller 8, as a feed-forward signal, so as to adjust the opening of the second three-way valve 7.

    • PURPOSE:To resolve a problem of air pollution, and acquire an energy saving effect while miniaturizing a device and cutting its cost by providing a leakage gas guiding part for guiding leakage gas to the engine intake side. CONSTITUTION:On the holding part of a holding member for a catalyst 1 is provided a closed container in which a space S for introducing leakage gas at the holding part is formed to surround the holding part. And, an outlet 7a for the leakage gas is formed at a suitable position of the closed container 7. The base end of a pipeline 5, whose fore end is connected to the intake side pipeline of an engine 3, for guiding the leakage gas to an engine intake side, or effective utilization of heat energy existing in the leakage gas is connected to the outlet 7a. Thereby, flowing out of the leakage gas into the atmosphere is avoided while attempting miniaturization and cost cutting of the device, so that a problem of air pollution can be resolved. Further, heat energy existing in the leakage gas is effectively utilized in engine operation to cause an energy saving effect.
