    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect sea water leak by deaeration-processing condensed water before detection of conductivity of the condensed water for removing carbon dioxide gas dissolved in the condensed water by deaeration, so that malfunction due to vacuum break, etc., of a condenser is prevented. SOLUTION: A detection device 10, with a water-intake pipe 11 connected to a condenser 20 in between, a comprises a conveying pump 12, a column 13 filled with H-type cation exchange resin which ion-exchanges with cation H , a film deaeration device 14 deaerating the dissolved carbon dioxide gas, and an acid conductivity meter 15 assigned on the poststage of the device 14. The pump 12, the column 13 and the film deaeration device 14 are connected from upstream side to downstream side in this order with the water-intake pipe 11 in between. The condensed water is taken in through a valve 16 assigned on the upstream side of the pump 12. The film deaeration device 14 comprises a hollow yarn module 141 and a vacuum pump 143, acting as an evacuation device, which is connected with a vacuum piping 142 in between. From relation between degree of vacuum of the module 141 and resistivity of pure water containing dissolved carbon dioxide gas at the degree of vacuum, degree of vacuum not exceeding about 45Torr is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To separate and concentrate effectively an alcohol from an aqueous solution of the alcohol to the permeated water side at a relatively low energy cost, by feeding the aqueous solution of the alcohol containing a soluble organic substance other than the alcohol to a reverse osmosis membrane of relatively low desalination ratio under pressure. CONSTITUTION:An alcohol is separated and concentrated from an aqueous solution thereof 2. In the process, a soluble organic substance 3, e.g. raffinose or lactose, other than the alcohol is present in the above-mentioned aqueous solution 2, which is fed to a reverse osmosis membrane 5 of pressure to separate and concentrate the alcohol 6 on the permeated water side. The alcohol can be concentrated under a lower pressure by this method than by the well-known method, and this method is advantageous to energy cost. The unpermeated water side 7 is circulated, and a concentrated solution of the alcohol 6 is obtained on the permeated water side. Thus, the recovery ratio of the alcohol is high, and an aqueous solution of a lower alcohol in a low concentration at which the distillation method cannot be applied can be concentrated to a concentration at which the distillation method is applicable at a low cost.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a lowering of water quality by combining a membrane degassing apparatus equipped with a water repellent membrane for degassing dissolved gas with a two-step type reverse osmosis membrane apparatus. CONSTITUTION:Pretreated raw water is supplied to a membrane degassing apparatus 6 through a raw water inflow pipe 12. The acid such as hydrochloric acid in an acid storage tank 1 is injected in the raw water before reaching the membrane degassing apparatus 6 by driving an acid injection pump 2 to be mixed therewith by a line mixer 3 to adjust the pH of the raw water after mixing to 5.5 or less. After a part of a carbonic acid ion present in the raw water is changed to carbon dioxide, the raw water is treated with the membrane degassing apparatus 6. The membrane degassing apparatus 6 is divided by a water repellent membrane 7 and the raw water containing dissolved gas such as carbon dioxide is passed through one chamber and the dissolved gas in the raw water is passed through the water repellent membrane 7 to perform degassing. By this method, high purity desalted water is obtained stably.

    • PURPOSE:To efficiently remove the gas dissolved in boiler water in a water supply line by providing an ejector in the pipeline of a return pipe and allowing the suction side of said ejector to communicate with the water non-contact side of a membrane degassing device. CONSTITUTION:The boiler water reduced in the amount of dissolved gas stored in a water storage tank 1 is guided to a membrane degassing device 6 through a water supply line by operating a boiler water supply pump 4. A part of the degassed boiler water supplied to a boiler 5 by the boiler water supply pump 4 is returned to the water storage tank 1 by the return pipe 7 provided in the water supply line. when the return water passes through the ejector 9 provided in the pipeline of the return pipe 7, the membrane degassing device 6 is sucked on the water non-contact side thereof. As mentioned above, since the membrane degassing device 6 is sucked on the water non-contact side of a water repellent membrane thereof by the ejector 9, the very small amount of the dissolved gas in the boiler water transmits and passes through the membrane to be removed from the boiler water.
