摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact tool rest device capable of stably controlling a series of turret dividing operation. SOLUTION: A first servo motor 4 turns a turret 2 via pinion 6 and a ring gear 11. A second electric motor 5 deceleratingly and energizingly rotates a worm wheel 22 via worm 25a to move a feed screw 21 screwed with the worm wheel 22 in the turret turning axis direction. The feed screw 21 engages/ disengages a clutch 13 with/from the ring gear 11 and a toothed member 12 via a clutch holder 23 so as to clamp/unclamp the turret 2 to the tool rest 3.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wiring and piping from obstructing a machine tool during machining. SOLUTION: This device processes the wiring and piping connected to the tailstock 1 of a lathe. A wiring/piping winding drum 4 is freely rotatably provided in the tailstock 1. A pinion 9 is provided on the same axis as the wiring/ piping winding drum 4 in such a way as to rotate integrally therewith. A rack 10 meshing with the pinion 9 is provided on the bed 2 of the lathe. When the tailstock 1 moves, the wiring/piping winding drum 4 is rotated by the action of the rack 10 and the pinion 9, this rotation causing the wiring or piping 7 to be wound on the wiring/piping winding drum 4 or causing the wiring or piping 7 wound on the wiring/piping winding drum 4 to be let out.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-spindle-control lathe which can drop chips simply, easily, without interfering other members, and without piling chips on a tool rest or a sliding surface. SOLUTION: A bed 1, whose cross section is open on the worker's side and is of a U shape, is constituted o of a leg part 2, a side wall part 3, which is erected from the leg part 2, and a ceiling part 4, which is continued to the side wall part 3. Carriage 11, 25, which move longitudinally or in the direction of a Z-axis and which are parallel with a spindle axis, are provided at the front surface of the side wall part 3 and at the lower surface of the ceiling part 4, respectively. The carriages 11, 25 are provided with tool rests 17, 30, which conduct feeding for cutting in the directions of X-axis and Y-axis that are perpendicular to the spindle axis, respectively. A shoot 41 for chips, which ranges over the entire plane of downward projection of the possible cutting/ moving range of the two tool rests 17, 30, is opened at the top surface of the leg part 2.
