    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform braking operation on large torque by constituting an inner peripheral surface of an intermediate rotary body out of a toothed first inner peripheral surface projecting toward a shaft member, a toothless second inner peripheral surface continuously extending from the first inner peripheral surface and a toothless third inner peripheral surface extending so as to separate from an outer peripheral surface of the shaft member. SOLUTION: An inner peripheral surface 6 of an intermediate rotary body 5 has sets of inner peripheral surfaces composed of a circular arc-shaped toothed (41) inner peripheral surface 42 projecting toward a shaft member 4 by gradually approaching a tooth 3 of an outer peripheral surface 2 of the shaft member 4, a toothless inner peripheral surface 43 extending in the rotational direction A of the shaft member 4 continuing from a bottom part of an inner peripheral surface 42 and a toothless inner peripheral surface 44 extending from a top part of the inner peripheral surface 42 so as to separate from the outer peripheral surface 2 of the shaft member 4, in the relative rotational direction A of the shaft member 4. The inner peripheral surface 43 of the respective sets is continuously connected to the inner peripheral surface 44 of the adjacent other set. Therefore, inconvenience such as operational failure is hardly caused, and even if it is a small type, braking operation can be desirably performed on large torque.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently deal with various damping force by one kind, by freely separating and connecting the outer surface of a second cylindrical body from/to the inner surface of a first cylindrical body so as to change a viscous material storage clearance, and relatively freely rotating both cylindrical bodies. SOLUTION: In this damper 1, when any one side of a cylindrical body 3 and a cylindrical body 8 which are arranged on a base body 2 is fixed in a hinge part, the other side thereof is rotatively attached. Then, smooth rotation damped to a desired extent can be obtained by viscous shearing resistance force of viscous fluid 5 arranged in a storage clearance 6 by the relative rotation of the cylindrical bodies 3, 8. When damping force is changed, a rotary jig is inserted in a hexagonal recessed part 65, an operating member 62 being changing means 10 against the cylindrical body 8 is relatively rotated in an A direction or a B direction around a shaft 61, the outer surface 7 of the split cylindrical part 46 of the cylindrical part 8 is brought near to and separated from the inner surface 4 of the cylindrical body 3 on the basis of the energization of an O-ring 51 as separating means 9, and the thickness of the storage clearance 6 is changed and adjusted so as to obtain the best damping force.
