      SOLUTION: Air blowing means 5, 6 utilizing corona discharge are mounted for an air blower fan. A needle tip of a needle electrode 51 is faced to a cylindrical opening portion 22 at an upstream side of a combustion tube 2. A needle electrode 61 is mounted in a state of being faced to a through hole 381 of an intermediate bottom plate 38 on a lower side of the combustion tube from the lower side. The combustion tube and the intermediate bottom plate are earthed as a counter electrode of the needle electrode, and discharge voltage is applied to the needle electrode to generate corona discharge. The primary air is supplied to the cylindrical opening portion and the secondary air is supplied from the intermediate bottom plate to an upper flame hole 23 by airflow generated by the corona discharge. By implementing ON/OFF control of application of voltage, an air blowing quantity (air supply quantity) can be varied and adjusted within a range lower than an air blowing quantity variable range by variation of voltage.

The obstacle 55 functions as a shield against sound. The motor sound of the blower 26 at the hot water supply side leaks through the inlet 51, but is shielded before getting to the blower 25 at the bathroom side. Accordingly, noise that leaks outside the case 2 is reduced.
