      SOLUTION: The electric resistance steel tube includes a chemical composition comprising, by mass, 0.15 to 0.30% C, ≤0.30% Si, 1.0 to 2.0% Mn, ≤0.030% P, ≤0.010% S, 0.2 to 1.5% Cr, 0.005 to 0.03% Ti, 0.005 to 0.10% sol.Al, ≤0.010% N and 0.0010 to 0.0070% B, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and in which the values of X and Y shown by formula X=3C+1.5Mn+2Cr+120S+90Ti and formula Y=20C+250Mn+35Cr+350B respectively satisfy X 300. The steel tube includes a mixed structure of ferrite and pearlite or a mixed structure of ferrite and cementite.

Gas flow rate from the welding point gas supply pipe (31) is set to be 50 L/min or higher.
