    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for accurately and rapidly measuring the temperature of a biosensor. SOLUTION: This measuring instrument includes a biosensor attachable to and detachable from an instrument body. The biosensor includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a third electrode for detecting temperatures. The instrument body is equipped with: a quantity determination means for determining the quantity of a substance to be detected in a specimen based on an electric current flowing through the first and second electrodes owing to a reaction between an enzyme and the substance; a pair of connection terminals electrically contacting with the third electrode; a temperature calculation means for calculating the temperature of the third electrode based on a resistance value of the third electrode acquired between the connection terminals; a correction means for correcting quantitative values of the substance with the quantity thereof determined by the determination means based on the temperature calculated by the calculation means; a mounting detection means for detecting the mounting of the biosensor; and a control means causing the calculation means to calculate the temperature of the third electrode on condition that the mounting of the biosensor has been detected by the detection means.
