    • PURPOSE:To provide an optimum power source unit for automatic measurement of travelling wave tubes or the like by connecting optical fibers between processing unit each provided at a low potential part and a high potential part and the parts. CONSTITUTION:An interface section 3 of a ground potential to connect a measurement control section 2 and a universal data bus 5 to be linked to an external controller 6 and the measurement control section 2 and the interface section 3 are connected with optical fibers 41 and 42. A digital command signal from the controller 6 enters the interface section 3 passing a data bus 5 and then a low potential side processing unit 8 via the interface circuit 7. When entering from a power source section 1, a voltage setting signal is fed sequentially to a light emitter 101 with a parallel-serial conversion circuit 91. Light of the light emitter 101 reaches a photo detector 111 of the measurement control section 2 through the optical fiber 41, converted into a parallel signal as digital electrical signal passing through the subsequent serial-parallel conversion circuit 12, and then, reaches a high potential side processing unit 13. This eliminates malfunctioning due to mixing of noises and disturbing pulses by the connection of the measurement control sectin 2 and the interface section 3 with the optical fibers 41 and 42.

    • PURPOSE:To introduce heat efficiently into a periodic magnetic-field device, and enhance the cooling effect of a spiral circuit by providing a pole piece with a slit extending in the radial direction of the pole piece, and installing the pole piece around the outer circumference of a metallic cylinder, being followed by compressing the pole piece so that the facing surfaces of the slit become in close contact with one another. CONSTITUTION:A pole piece 5 is provided with a slit 6. A space 4 is allowed between a metallic cylinder 3 and the pole piece 5 so that the piece 5 can easily move around the cylinder 3. The width of the slit 6 is set so that the inner diameter of the piece 5 becomes slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the cylinder 3 penetrating the piece 5 when the piece 5 is compressed in such a manner that the surfaces of the piece 5 become in complete contact with one another. Owing to the above constitution, the heat of a spiral circuit heated by high-frequency electric power can be effectively introduced into a periodic magnetic-field device which has a large volume and a large surface area. Consequently, the cooling effect of the spiral circuit can be enhanced.
