摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow accurate search for a video including an image similar to a query image.SOLUTION: An input video is divided into continuously captured video fragments by a video division unit 20. A plurality of local features are extracted from each of divided video fragments by a fragment analysis unit 21. The plurality of local features are classified to generate a classification tree where codes are assigned to respective classifications, by a classification tree generation unit 22. Fragment representations showing pairs of assigned codes and calculated numbers are generated by a fragment representation generation unit 24. Transposition indexes are generated by a transposition index generation unit 25. Local features are extracted from an input query image by an image analysis unit 27. An image representation showing pairs of assigned codes and calculated numbers is generated by an image representation generation unit 28. On the basis of the image representation and the transposition indexes, similarities to the video fragments are calculated to select a candidate for a video fragment including an image similar to the query image, by a candidate selection unit 29.

An index generation part 43 generates index data that stores the local, partial and global features extracted for each static image. A partial image acquisition part 44 acquires a static image for an input retrieval query and a partial area. An input feature extraction part 45 extracts the local, partial and global features, with respect to the static image for the retrieval query. An index retrieval part 46 calculates a value of similarity between each static image and the partial area of the static image for the retrieval query, and retrieves a video file including an image similar to the partial area of the static image for the retrieval query.
