    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catenary-type horizontal continuous steel strip processing apparatus, which includes a horizontal catenary furnace with a large capacity of catenary and a processing furnace adjacent thereto and has such a structure that a steel strip does not contact with equipment installed in the lower part of a horizontal catenary furnace and is further provided with a threading apparatus in the structure.
      SOLUTION: In the catenary-type horizontal continuous steel strip processing apparatus 10 having the horizontal catenary furnace 13 and the processing furnace 14 adjacent to the downstream thereof, the pass line of the horizontal catenary furnace 13 is set at a position higher than the pass line of the processing furnace 14; a liftable threading roll 27 is provided in the processing furnace 14; a threading bar 20 in the processing furnace 14 is lifted to the same height position as the pass line of the horizontal catenary furnace 13 and moved backward to the horizontal catenary furnace 13 when threading the steel strip 12; and the threading bar 20 to which the steel strip 12 is connected is moved forward from the horizontal catenary furnace 13 to the processing furnace 14 and further descended to the same height position as the pass line of the processing furnace 14 and then moved forward.
