    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce to the utmost a slope ground excavation amount required in constructing an earth-retaining retaining wall. SOLUTION: A portion to construct the earth-retaining retaining wall 1 is suitably excavated, cylindrical post materials 4 are installed at spaces in the slope width direction, a wall surface material 7 is stretched between the adjacent cylindrical post materials 4, the interiors of the cylindrical post materials 4 are filled with concrete 5 to construct a pillar body 6, and back filling of sediment 8 is performed for the space among the wall surface material 7, the pillar body 6, and the slope to construct the earth-retaining retaining wall 1. As the cylindrical post material 4, used is a cylindrical body 4, which is not cylindrical as a whole, but the lower back of which is cut out to form a lower back cutout cylindrical post material 4 (for example, the cylindrical post material 4 formed by connecting a cylindrical body 4a on a semicircular body 4b).     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth retaining wall which has wall surface members set between pillar members, and is readily adjusted when intervals between the pillars are widened. SOLUTION: The cylindrical pillar members 4 are arranged across intervals, and the wall surface members 7 are set between adjacent cylindrical pillar members 4. The cylindrical pillar members 4 are filled with fillers 5 to form pillars 6, and a gap between the wall surface members 7 and pillars 6 and a slope 2 is backfilled with earth and sand to form the earth retaining wall 1. The wall surface member 7 is constructed by setting a number of flat bars 7a between the cylindrical pillar members 4 in such a way that the flat bars 7a are arranged vertically across gaps in a curved forward projecting form. Using the flat bars 7a as the wall surface members 7 eliminates a restriction on length, so that the earth retaining wall 1 can be adjusted easily even if the intervals between the pillars 6 are wide.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the operation of joining a wall surface material to a cylindrical form. SOLUTION: In this earth retaining structure, the cylindrical forms 10, in which a plurality of corrugated steel plate panels 1 and 1' are joined together in circumferential and height directions, are arranged at an interval; the insides of them are filled with a filler; the wall surface material 14 is laid between the cylindrical forms 10 adjacent to each other; and sediment is backfilled on the backside. A flange 5 of a circumferential end of the corrugated steel plate panel 1 for mounting the wall surface material 14 is extended out to the outside with respect to a flange 3 of a height-direction end, so as to serve as a wall surface material mounting portion 5b. The wall surface material 14 is joined to the wall surface material mounting portion 5b. The operation of sandwiching a wall surface material mounting plate as a separate member between flanges 4 and 4 becomes unnecessary differently from a conventional structure in which the wall surface material mounting plate is sandwiched between the flanges 4 and 4. Additionally, since the size of the diameter of the cylindrical form 10 does not become larger by the thickness of the plate, the fine adjustment of making the corrugated steel plate panel in a proper location shorter by the thickness of the plate becomes unnecessary.
