    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight ground sill for a building which does not corrode or change in dimension due to termite insect damage and humidity and is capable of improving working accuracy and executability and facilitating connection to columns.
      SOLUTION: The ground sill 10 for the building includes a ground sill body 12 including both a bottom piece 14 arranged along the upper surface 2 of a footing 1 and fixed to the footing 1 and a recessed groove 13 open upward; covers 20 used as necessary at locations except a location at which a column 40 is raised so as to cover the open part of the recessed groove 13 of the ground sill body 12; a support body 30 for vertically raising a vertical piece 38. The vertical piece 38 covers the open part of the recessed groove 13 of the ground sill body 12 immediately below the location at which the column 40 is raised and is inserted in a slit 44 formed at the lower end 42 of the column 40. The ground sill body 12, the covers 20, and the support body 30 are each formed of an extruded section made of an aluminum alloy and having a prescribed cross-sectional shape and cut into a prescribed length along the direction of extrusion in the ground sill 10 for the building.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight sill structure of a building, easy in cross-sectional performance design, rich in termite preventive performance/anti-corrosiveness, enhancing qualitative stability/workability, and friendly to a global environment. SOLUTION: This sill structure of the building has sill bodies 10 and 10' composed of an aluminum alloy extruded section arranged along an upper surface of an internal foundation B and an outer peripheral foundation B' of a building and sill reinforcing bodies 20 and 20' combined with the sill bodies 10 and 10', and is formed by arranging the sill reinforcing bodies 20 and 20' in a lower part of at least a column C and a stud C'. Desirably, the sill reinforcing bodies 20 and 20' are composed of the aluminum alloy extruded section. The sill bodies 10 and 10' are formed in a cross-sectional channel shape having a horizontal upper surface and a downward opening 14 formed of a horizontal upper plate part 11, and both are integrated by fitting the downward opening 14 of the sill bodies 10 and 10' from above to the sill reinforcing bodies 20 and 20'.
