    • PURPOSE:To adjust adequately the depth of a tap hole and to execute stable tapping and slag discharge operations by providing a blast control valve to a blast branch pipe of a tuyere positioned upper than a tap hole and adjusting the flow rate of hot wind. CONSTITUTION:The blast control valve 7 is provided to a blast branch pipe 6 for supplying hot wind to the tuyere 3 positioned upper than the tap hole 2 of a blast furnace 1. The opening degree of the valve 7 is decreased to decrease the flow rate of the hot wind when the depth of the hole 2 is lower than the prescribed value. Then the flow of the gas near the hole 2 is made inactive by while the slag, etc. sticks to the hole 2 and the depth of the hole 2 is increased. The opening degree of the blast control valve is increased to increase the flow rate of the hot wind when the depth of the port 2 is higher than the prescribed value. Then the flow of the gas near the hole 2 is made more vigorous by which the slag, etc. sticking to the hole 2 are stripped and the depth of the hole 2 is decreased. The level of the molten iron 9 and slag 10 in the hearth 4 is thus made uniform and the tapping operation is continued without clogging the hole 2.

    • PURPOSE:To feed mechanically and automatically a pipe for oxygen hole opening into a tap hole by inserting the pipe between a driving roller and driven roller, grasping the pipe by the pressure of the driven roller and turning the driving roller thereby feeding the pipe into the tap hole. CONSTITUTION:A stand 1 is installed near the tap hole of the blast furnace and the pipe 15 for oxygen hole opening is inserted between the driving roller 2 and the driven roller 7 in a casing 8 via guide rollers 18. A screw bar 10 is rotated to press a bracket 6 by a spring 11 (by a cylinder 14 if necessary) so that the pipe 15 is strongly grasped by the driven roller 7 and the driving roller 2. The roller 2 is then rotated to insert automatically the pipe 15 via a guide pipe 17 into the tap hole to be subjected to oxygen hole opening. Oxygen is supplied from a hose connected to the rear end of the pipe 15 into the pipe and the tap hole is opened by the oxidation heat. The inside of the casing 8 is cooled by supplying air from a nozzle 20.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the detecting precision and to find earilier the abnormality, by detecting the breakage and water leakage of a hot blast valve from the moisture difference obtained by a ventilated hygrometer provded before and after said valve. CONSTITUTION:In hot blast stove composed mainly of a combustion chamber 2 and a regenerator chamber 1, hot blast is supplied to blast furnace through a main blat pipe 3 connected to the chamber 2. The ventilated hygrometers 4, 4 are provided respectively before and after the valve 10 provided at the pipe 3 and these are connected to a comparator 5. An alarm 6 is provded at the comparator 5, when the moisture difference obtained thereby becomes a prescribed value or more, alarm is generated. In such a way, moisture in blast before and after the valve 10 are detected and compared, breakage state of the valve 10 can be detected exactly as leakage of cooling water thereof.

Thus, stable operation is possible even under low fuel ratio condition.

The accumulation levels are measured continuously at all times at all the set measuring points, and the charging for replenishment is started at the point of the time when the value measured at any one position attains the point D. The charging is stopped when the accumulation level attains the point U upon progression of the charging of the raw material.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the overcooling in the initial period of a furnace body and to enable stable operation by cooling the brick of a furnace wall by the evaporation of the cooling water supplied into cooling boxes when the bricks are relatively sound and by the force circulation of the cooling water into the cooling boxes when the bricks are heavily worn. CONSTITUTION:Water is supplied into cooling boxes 4a, 4b, 4c from a high pressure water feed pipe 10 and a specified amt. of the cooling water is stagnated in the pipe 10 in the initial stage of a furnace body when the bricks 2 of the furnace wall are relatively sound. The cooling water in the boxes 4 is gradually evaporated by the heat load born by the bricks 2 and cools the bricks. The steam generated in the boxes 4 is conducted to the pipe 10 and is discharged from a steam release pipe 14. The decreased portion of the cooling water in the boxes 4 is automatically supplied from the pipe 10 by utilizing a head and when the level of the water in the pipe 10 decreases down to a specified level or below, the water is replenished automatically therein. When the steam temp. measured with a thermometer 17 rises to a prescribed temp. or above, that is, when the bricks 2 are heavily worn, the coolng water from a water feed pipe 5 is forcibly circulated into the boxes 4a, 4b, 4c and is discharged into a discharging trough 8.
