      SOLUTION: The precious metal recovery method and the precious metal recovery device comprise a heating step of heating plastic wastes containing precious metal with alkaline solution, and an electrolytic treatment step of performing electrolysis of acidic treatment solution obtained by acidic treatment of solids in a treated mixture generated in the heating step.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic waste disposal process which can efficiently recover active components from the plastic wastes and can effectively inhibit decomposition of useful components and generation of harmful substances through two-stage heat-treating method employing a low heating temperature, a short processing time and an alkaline solution with a low concentration, even when high concentrations of chlorine and additives are present in the plastic wastes.
      SOLUTION: The disposal process comprises a first treatment step wherein a mixture of the plastic wastes containing a chlorine-containing resin containing a carboxy group-containing additive and the alkaline solution is subjected to high-frequency heating at 100-150°C and a second treatment step wherein a mixture of the treatment residue obtained through the first treatment step and the alkaline solution is subjected to high-frequency heating at 200-250°C.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wasted imaging film treatment method by which base films and high-purity silver can be easily recovered from wasted imaging films and which has no risk of adversely affecting the environment.
      SOLUTION: The wasted imaging film treatment method comprises the steps of (A) to (E) for treating waste imaging films each having a polyethylene film as a base film and a photosensitive layer containing a silver salt and collagen: (A) the step of preparing a dispersion by cutting the waste imaging films and dispersing the cuttings in water or an aqueous alkali solution, (B) the step of obtaining a solid and a liquid by subjecting the dispersion to solid/liquid separation, (C) the step of recovering polyethylene terephthalate films from the solid, (D) the step of obtaining a solid and a liquid by treating the liquid with an acid and subjecting the treated liquid to solid/liquid separation, and (E) the step of recovering silver by treating the solid obtained in step (D) with an acid and electrolyzing the treated solid.
