The operation device 7 is provided with a control means for rotating and raising the main operation arm 5 via the auxiliary operation arm 10 and for raising and stopping the auxiliary operation arm 10 in the approximately vertical state in the intermediate stop position of the table 2.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cargo handling method capable of reducing the number of people and cargo carriage to be arranged in each of cargo sorting places of a multistory warehouse and capable of remarkably shortening the cargo handling time, and to provide a device for the same.
SOLUTION: In the method of handling cargo to be carried by a trailer 3 pulled by a tractor 2 in the multistory warehouse 1, the trailer carrying a cargo P is placed on a driving conveyor 7 of an elevator 4 during the stop of the driving conveyor, and the trailer and the tractor are separated from each other. The elevator is stopped at a position wherein the driving conveyor loaded with the trailer matches with a conveyor 13 of the cargo sorting place 10. The driving conveyor 7 and the conveyor 13 of the cargo sorting place 10 are driven to move the trailer to the predetermined story of the cargo sorting place 10 to unload the cargo to be fed to the predetermined story from the trailer. On the other hand, a vacant trailer 3 is moved to the predetermined story of the cargo sorting place 10, and the trailer is loaded with the cargo of the predetermined story, and the trailer is transferred onto the driving conveyor, and elevated to a position of the tractor 2, and the trailer is connected to the tractor.
