    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a molded body, from a thermal insulating material down, as is excellent in the mechanical strengths, handleability and also workability, and to provide a composite porous body suitable for obtaining this molded body.
      SOLUTION: The composite porous body has a formation such that the porous body-covered particle, in which a core particle of the second inorganic compound is covered with the porous body that is formed of a secondary particle into which fine particles of the first inorganic compound, ring-shapedly or spirally associate adheres to the surface of the porous body-covered inorganic fiber, in which an inorganic fiber is covered with the above porous body; the molded body and thermal insulating material containing this composite porous body are each also invented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating material having both excellent heat insulating properties and strength and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: There are provided a heat insulating material 1 which is obtained by laminating a substrate layer 3 containing aluminum phosphate and an inorganic coating layer 4 in this order on a heat insulating molded product 2 formed by compression-molding nano-inorganic particles and a method for producing a heat insulating material 1 in which a substrate agent containing aluminum phosphate is coated on the heat insulating molded product 2 formed by compression-molding nano-inorganic particles and followed by drying to form the substrate layer 3 and subsequently an inorganic coating agent is coated on the surface of the substrate layer and followed by drying to form the inorganic coating layer 4.
