摘要： A vast buffer memory space capable of storing all of partial fingerprint images read by a sweep type fingerprint sensor is made unnecessary in generating feature information of a fingerprint. A fingerprint reading system includes a sweep type fingerprint sensor, a memory which stores partial fingerprint images read by the sensor, and a processor connected to the sensor. The processor includes an image acquisition unit which successively acquires partial fingerprint images read by the sweep type fingerprint sensor and preserves them in the memory, a position calculation unit which calculates position information of a partial fingerprint image, an image division unit which cuts out a unique unit image corresponding to an image region having a predetermined area from the partial fingerprint image on the basis of the position information, and a feature extraction unit which extracts feature information of the unit image.

摘要： A memory region for fingerprint images acquired from a sweep type fingerprint sensor is saved. A fingerprint reading system including a sweep type fingerprint sensor and a memory to store a partial fingerprint image read by the sensor includes an image acquisition unit which successively acquires partial fingerprint images by using the sweep type fingerprint sensor, a reconstruction unit which overlaps an acquired partial fingerprint image and an already acquired partial fingerprint image, stores a resultant image in the memory, and monitors whether a definite region has reached a predetermined size, a feature extraction unit which generates feature information of the fingerprint by using an image in the definite region when the definite region reached at the predetermined size in the reconstruction unit, and releases a memory portion corresponding to the definite region after the generation of feature information, and a feature construction unit which successively records generated feature information in accordance with its generation order. When the memory portion of the definite region is released, the reconstruction unit conducts subsequent reconstruction processing by using the memory portion.

In the verification process of the biometric information 01, it is collated with the biometric information within the range specified by the category code 021 of the combined verification information 02 which has been inputted together with the biometric information 01. If a personal record 202 is detected which matches with the biometric information 01, the identification information 03 stored in the personal record 202 is collated with the identification information 022 of the combined verification information 02.
