    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a metal-based and/or ceramic porous formed body which is produced by simultaneously and parallelly advancing foaming and solidification of slurry and contains pores each having a controlled shape; a sintered compact obtained from the same; and a product formed from the sintered compact.
      SOLUTION: The porous formed body formed by simultaneously and parallelly advancing foaming and solidification of slurry by adding a foaming agent and a slurry solidifying agent, exhibiting respective actions under a nearly same condition, to slurry containing at least a metal-based powder and/or ceramic powder and water, is a cast molded product in which the pore shape is controlled. The porous formed body is characterized in that the body has nearly uniformly controlled pores or pores each controlled to have a shape long in the vertical direction, and a shape is imparted to the body. A method for producing the porous formed body, the sintered compact of the formed body, and a structural member formed from the sintered compact are also provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallic and/or ceramics porous molded body having communicating pores, and to provide a sintered compact and a product thereof.
      SOLUTION: The porous molded body with a porous structure composed of pores including communicating pores is provided which is molded by admixing at least metallic powder and/or ceramics powder and water with an assistant for introducing bubbles, an assistant for forming a network skeleton and an assistant for sticking a component such as metallic powder and/or ceramics powder to the network skeleton, and causing bubble generation, network skeleton formation and componential sticking to the network skeleton, a sintered compact thereof, a method for producing the same, and a structural member thereof are also provided. According to this invention, using the metal or ceramics powder, the easy method for producing a porous body having communicating pores, and the product and structural member thereof can be provided.
