    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical oil detector capable of preventing malfunction and laid readily.
      SOLUTION: This optical oil detector for detecting an oil leaking into water by an optical fiber is equipped with a float 17a floating on the water, and moved up and down corresponding to the fluctuations of the water level; a fiber sensor (optical fiber) 42 fixed to the float 17a, and moved vertically, together with the float 17a; a light-emitting element 34, arranged on one end of the fiber sensor 42, for transmitting light to the fiber sensor 42; and a light-receiving element 35 arranged on the other end of the fiber sensor 42, for converting the light inputted from the fiber sensor 42 into electrical signal. The light-emitting element 34 and the light-receiving element 35 can be stored in the float 17a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical oil detector capable of being easily laid and of preventing any misoperation. SOLUTION: The optical oil detector for detecting leaked oil leaked into the water by an optical fiber comprises a float 17a that floats on the water surface and floats up and down according to the water level; an optical fiber sensor 42 fixed to the float 17a and floats up and down with the float 17a; a light emission device fixed with one end of the optical fiber sensor 42 (optical fiber) for transmitting light to the fiber sensor 42; and a light receiving device fixed on the other end of the fiber sensor 42 for transducing the light input from the fiber sensor 42 into an electric signal.
