    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolled material of a magnesium alloy, which can show extremely superior mechanical properties, can be manufactured at a low cost, and is extremely superior in practicality. SOLUTION: The rolled material of the magnesium alloy is manufactured by preparing a magnesium alloy which includes, by mass%, 0.5-3.5% aluminum (Al), 0.5-3.5% calcium (Ca), 0.30% or less manganese (Mn) and the balance magnesium (Mg) with unavoidable impurities, and contains aluminum (Al) and calcium (Ca) at a ratio of 0.90-1.10:1.10-0.90; rough-rolling the alloy at a rolling reduction in the range of 40 to 60% and at a temperature in the range of 300 to 400°C; and subsequently finish-rolling the rough-rolled plate at a lower rolling reduction and a lower temperature than those in the rough-rolling step.
