On the other hand, the water inlet port side of the water cooler 6 is connected to the returning pipeline 9 of a cold and hot-water circuit A through a cold water circulating pump 10 and an air separater 90 and the water outlet port side of the same is connected to a sending pipeline 7 through a check valve 8 while pipelines 17, 18 are branched respectively to provide a sub returning pipeline 92 and a sub sending pipeline 72, the pipeline 92 is connected to the air separater 90 and the pipeline 72 is connected to a pipeline 7 through a solenoid valve 11 to supply the cold water or the hot-water to the circuit A arbitrarily by operating the opening and closing of the solenoid valve 11.

    • PURPOSE:To extend the on-off period of a compressor, and thereby reduce starting power and improve performance coefficient by increasing a difference between upper and lower limit set temperatures as on-time is shortened upon a low load where the on-off period is decreased compared with the case of an ordinary load. CONSTITUTION:A refrigerant which has attained a high temperature by being compressed by a compressor 1 is cooled and condensed through a condenser 2. The refrigerant, after being expanded through an expansion valve 3, cools cold water in an evaporator 4 and returns to the compressor 1. The cold water cooled thereupon is fed to a room machine to cool air in a room. A controller 5 monitors at all times temperature of the cold water based upon a signal from a temperature sensor 6, and on-off controls the compressor 1 such that the temperature of the cold water falls within a range between the upper and lower values. In this case, the control device 5 measures an interval of the on-time of the compressor 1. When a measured time interval is shortened more than the set values, the interval between the upper and lower values is extended.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain good CO detection sensitivity for a long period of time, by determining the timing of a heat cleaning based on a prescribed measuring time, in the case where a CO detection element for catalytic reaction to CO gas in exhaust gas is suitably raised of the temperature thereof for heat cleaning of the CO detection element. SOLUTION: A controller 14 of a water heater which is a combustor controls the operation of the water heater by a water heater control part 19 via various driving circuits 20 to 22 based on the CO concentration in exhaust gas detected by a CO sensor 16. A CO sensor control part 25 of the CO sensor 16 increases the electric power to a CO detection element 17 by means of a CO detection element driving circuit 24 based on a command signal from the water heater control part 19 for heat cleaning thereof. In this case, the water heater control part 19 is equipped with a fixed time timer 26, in the case where one combustion or more occurred within the fixed time measured by the fixed time timer, heat cleaning of the CO sensor 16 is accomplished by outputting the command signal from the water heater control part 19.
