    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information communication system with which solid operation of an information terminal apparatus can be secured even when a communication fault is generated between the information terminal apparatus and a management server in automatically updating an application of the information terminal apparatus to a latest version uploaded to the management sever.
      SOLUTION: The information communication system is constituted such that the management server 1, a contents server 2 and the information terminal apparatus 3 are mutually connected through a wide communication network 4 and a local network 5, and that a menu application included in the information terminal apparatus 3 is updated by information from the management server 1. The information terminal apparatus 3 is provided with a first storage area in which a default menu application is stored and a second storage area for storing the updated menu application. When a communication fault is generated between the management server 1 and the information terminal apparatus 3, the menu application stored in the first storage area is driven.

As a result, if the light shielding is caused not by a touch operation but by an adhesion such as water drop as a result, the light receiving quantity is ensured, and no light shielding object is determined. On the other hand, in case of the touch operation, the determination is not changed (the presence of light shielding object) even if the light emitting quantity is increased.
