    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize automatic regulation of a gas proportional valve at the time of maintenance or repair in a gas proportional valve regulating device for a hot water heater. SOLUTION: A gas proportional valve regulating device comprises a gas proportional valve 29, a rewritable memory for storing information on the minimum amount of combustion and the maximum amount of combustion regulated by the gas proportional valve, and a control unit 4 for controlling the amount of a supplied gas by regulating the valve travel of the gas proportional valve according to the distinctive qualities which are determined on the basis of the information stored in the memory. At the time of regulating the gas proportional valve, the control unit controls the controlled variable of the gas proportional valve so that the contents of detection by a gas pressure detecting means 40 show a given minimum gas pressure which corresponds to the minimum combustion amount, thereby rewriting the memory with the information on the controlled variable as information concerning the minimum combustion amount, and the control unit further controls the controlled variable of the gas proportional valve so that the contents of detection show a given maximum gas pressure which corresponds to the maximum combustion amount, thereby rewriting the memory with the information on the controlled variable as information concerning the maximum combustion amount.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air/fuel ratio controller wherein even when actual revolutions of a fan does not reach target revolutions not easily, there is avoided a trouble that correction is applied to supply gas pressure indefinitely to prevent hot water effluent characteristics from being deteriorated. SOLUTION: A title air/fuel ratio controller includes a heat exchanger, a gas burner, a combustion fan, a fan control part, and a hot water supply control part. In the apparatus, a correction control timer is provided, and the hot water control part is adapted such that when revolutions of the combustion fan satisfy target revolutions actual revolutions =Xrpm (X: the constant), correction is applied to the gas pressure, and when predetermined timer time by the correction control timer is elapsed, the correction of the gas pressure is finished even when the revolutions successively satisfy |target revolutions-actual revolutions| >=Xrpm (X: the constant).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the transfer of setting data accompanied by the replacement of a control base board by a method wherein the base board discriminating data of an old control base board are compared with those of a control board retained by themselves and the setting data, transferred from the old control base board, are decided whether the setting data are to be address to and stored in a memory or not in accordance with the result of the comparison. SOLUTION: The version information of a microcomputer is written previously into a non-volatile memory equipped in both of a new control base board 1 and an old control board 2 as base board control data. Upon transferring data between both of the new base board 1 and the old base board 2, setting data and base board discriminating data, which are stored in the non-volatile memory of the old control base board 2, are transferred at first to the new control base board 1. Subsequently, the base board discriminating data of the old control board 2 are compared with own base board discriminating data in the old control base board 2 and only when the version of the microcomputer coincides, the setting data are addressed to the non- volatile memory of the new control base board 1. According to this method, malfunction, caused under a condition that the control data are not coped with the new control base board 1, can be prevented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transfer a normal set data at the time of replacing a controller control board built in a hot water supply apparatus by incorporating a software of such a procedure as storing a transferred set data except the combustion engine data, e.g. correction of the r.p.m. of a fan, while overwriting. SOLUTION: At the time of replacing the controller control board of a hot water supply apparatus A, a data is transferred by connecting the terminals of a new control board 1 and an old control board 2 through remote control lines 3. Data transfer is executed based on a software built in the control board. Subsequently, power is turned on and a decision is made whether a set data in the old control board 2 has been transferred to a new control board 1. If a set data has been transferred, the set data except the combustion engine data, e.g. correction of the r.p.m. of a fan, is stored in the new control board 1 while overwriting. More specifically, the control board can be replaced without confirming difference of version of microcomputer between new and old control boards.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent useless action by draining hot water up to a draining water level set higher than a water level, higher than a reference water level, which is higher in comparison with a set draining water level to eliminate a draining action of undesired hot water when the set water level is set lower than the reference water level. CONSTITUTION: A flow rate detection signal detected by a flow rate sensor 15 is sent to a control section 30 and the resulting flow rate value is integrated to obtain the amount of cold water. A pressure detection signal as detected by a pressure sensor 9 is sent and a water level from the bottom surface of a bathtub is determined indirectly. A set water level is inputted into a water level setting section 23 from a remote controller 24 and the water level setting section 23 sets a target level from a reference water level determined previously by the control section 30 and a set water level set to output a water set signal to the control section 30. The control section 30 opens a closed valve 12 to reach the target water level based on the water set signal outputted and hot water is drained into the bathtub.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the occurrence water hammering sound by a method wherein a tub filling channel on/off means is closed after a hot water supply flow control means is placed in a nearly finally closed condition, unless any other faucets are used. CONSTITUTION:The total sum of the value detected by a means 6 of detecting flow before mixing and of a mixed hot water supply calculated by the mixing ratio of a fixed flow changing means 10 is compared with the value detected by a tub filling water amount detecting means 14. For this reason, any special detecting element such as water flow switch is not required and, by only component parts provided in an ordinary hot bath water supply device, it can be accurately judged whether or not other faucets are being used. Therefore, if the other faucet is judged not to be used, a hot water supply flow control means 11 closes a tub filling on/off means 13 after it is placed in a nearly finally closed condition. By this method, the occurrence of water hammering sound can be accurately suppressed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a reheating operation for heating a bath in which its combustion for heating can be stopped only at the time of occurrence of abnormal state. SOLUTION: In case that a hot water temperature (t) is more than a set hot water temperature (ts)(t>=ts), combustion is stopped, a circulating pump is stopped in its operation and then a reheating operation is terminated. In the case that the hot water temperature (t) is lower than the set temperature (ts), after it is confirmed that a bath reheating operation time T elapses by a bath reheating operation set time Ts, a hot water temperature (t2 ) after timing-up of a timer is detected and then the hot water temperature (t2 ) after timing-up of a timer is compared with a timer initial hot water temperature. In the case that the hot water termperature (t2 ) is higher than the timer initial hot water temperature (t1 ) by a set temperature difference α or more, it is discriminated that there is no abnormal state and then the reheating operation is continued. After the timer shows a time-up state, if the hot water temperature (t2 ) is not increased more than the timer initial hot water termperature (t1 ) by the set termperature difference αor more, it is discriminated that there is an abnormal state and the bath reheating and combustion is stopped.
