The coefficient K is set to be larger as the ddelta is larger, and the controller thereby gives priority to vehicle behavior control in the case of the steering speed being large.

Hydraulic pressure is therefore intensified more than normal wheel cylinder hydraulic pressure when a difference is caused between the right and left brake hydraulic pressures on vehicle behavior control, so that a required difference between hydraulic pressures can be made.

By this method, the split point can be set corresponding to the lateral acceleration and the vehicle condition can be checked whether it is at the critical point or not to enable the control of the rear wheel brake fluid pressure for each situation.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively generate a brake force in an antiskid operation mode, and improve the performance of a brake force control device by controlling a unit load per travel wheel in such a way as to increase the load on a part of wheels undergoing antiskid control. CONSTITUTION:In controlling a brake force on a split road having a different surface mu right and left, a unit load per travel wheel on the lower road surface muis increased, when antiskid control is acting on the aforesaid wheel. For example, when a left front wheel 1L is on the lower road surface mu, a hydraulic active suspension controller 40 raises pressure in the pressure chamber 31 of a hydraulic cylinder 26FL via a pressure control valve 27FL for the left front wheel 1L, and the hydraulic cylinder 26FL is expanded, thereby increasing a force for a body to press the left front wheel 1L to the road surface. When a unit load per travel wheel load increases, a wheel slip decreases and the operation of antiskid control is retarded. Higher brake fluid pressure corresponding to the degree of such retarding can be used and, thereby, stable brake control can be realized, even in the case of braking on the split road.
