CONSTITUTION:With call given from data terminal 20, telephone exchange 21, packet multiplication device 30, packet exchange 35 and packet terminal 31 are actuated. And if the immediate information request is given, exchange 35 gives allotment to the information gathering area and the know register number. Under communication, the charging information is collected to the memory of main memory device 33 corresponding to the number. The charging information is preserved for a fixed time even after breaking of the call, and data terminal 20 transmits the known request based on the register number. Thus exchange 35 draws out the corresponding information from the gathering area and sends it to device 30 to then transmit the charging information contained in the information transmitted to terminal 20 by one character.

CONSTITUTION:When a connection line between non-packet terminal 1 and a packet terminal is set, packet exchange unit 5 allots one charge information memory area in main memory unit 15 to a call connection. Once data transfer starts between terminals 1 and 6, exchange 5 collects charge information on the number of transmitted and received packets and stores it in the charge information area. After the data transfer, terminal 1 sends a charge information request. On receiving the request, packet multiplexer 4 edits cutting-off request packets including the charge information request and sends it to exchange unit 5. On receiving this request, exchange unit 5 takes charge information out and then sends it to unit 4. Unit 4 sends the charge information, character by character, to terminal 1.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the service performance, efficiency or the like by transmitting a transmission request signal after two kinds of large and small delay times are obtained alternately at each detection of the end of a transmission signal to uniform the right of transmission. CONSTITUTION:The delay times T1, T2 of delay circuits 6H, 6I of a contention circuit 4 in plural terminals of the same multi-drop connection are set to different values. When many terminals are in a standby state and a transmission line becomes idle, the priority of data transmission is formed depending on the start time between terminals, allowing to prevent collision of data transmission. Since the output of the circuits 6H, 6I are selected alternately every time a selecting circuit 6G detects the change from the idle state to the operating state and changes over the times T1 and T2 alternately, the access order to a data control station 1 is switched alternately. Thus, the priority of accessing is uniformed.
