摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show a user the terms whose retrieval results are always obtained and also to decide the progress state of a document retrieval job without confirming the obtained document contents by showing the user the relative terms in a guide expression in terms of distance to a desired document set. SOLUTION: A retrieval initial control means 50 calculates the relation of terms to (n) pieces of documents and shows a user a term having close relation to the term given by the user as a relative term. A retrieval normal control means 40 inputs the relative term shown by a relative term display means 10 and selected by the user to a document storage means 30 via a word input means 20. A retrieval means of the means 30 retrieves a document set which includes the inputted relative term, calculates again the relation of terms to the retrieved document set and repetitively shows the relative terms to the user. Thus, a desired document set is retrieved out of those document sets which are stored in a storage means of the means 30.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily describe application such as switching, etc., of presentation effect of multimedia(MM) as a scenario based on user's conditions by reproducing material in response to a scenario whose material is the MM that temporally needs consecutive reproduction and which is generated by adding effect to in response to the reproduction. SOLUTION: One piece of MM information is stored as material. When material needs temporally consecutive reproduction, a temporal piece of the material is a segment. When material does not need temporally consecutive reproduction, a time interval which continues reproduction is added to the material and it becomes a segment. There are three types of segment relations, i.e., segments which synchronize with each other, continuously temporal connection relation and multiple segments which follow based on a user's instruction. Any of these segments is selected, and a relation to reproduce the segments is written as a scenario and stored. Any of these scenarios is read, described relation between segments is interpreted and desired material is read from stored material and reproduced.
