摘要： PURPOSE:To detect a leaking optical signal efficiently even when the optical fiber does not have a margin of length by bending the optical fiber several times in a wave shape. CONSTITUTION:The tip part 12 of the 1st member 11 is formed of a transparent hard material and a corrugated bent shape part 14 is formed at the tip. A photodetector 13 is arranged near the bent shape part 14 in the 1st member 11. A bent shape part 16 in such a shape that it meshes said bent shape part 14 is formed at the 2nd member 15 and a reflection mirror 17 is arranged near the bent shape part 16. When plier type arms 18 are gripped in the hand, the 1st member 11 and the 2nd member 15 bend the optical fiber 1, a leaking optical signal from this optical fiber 1 is detected by the photodetector 13.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to set the measuring condition of an optical fiber to be detected to a constant one by efficiently detecting leaked light power with respect to the power of light propagating through the optical fiber, by mounting a first member having a recessed part, a second member having a protruded part for bringing the optical fiber into close contact with said recessed part and a light guide for guiding incident light at an incident end to a detection means. CONSTITUTION:First and second members 11, 12 are mounted and a recessed part 13 is formed to the first member 11 while a protruded part 14 having a diameter smaller than that of the recessed part 13 is mounted to the second member 12. An optical fiber 1 to be detected is arranged in the recessed part 13 of the member 11 and pressed to the incident end of an optical fiber 16 appearing to the wall surface of the recessed part 13 by the protruded part 14 so as to be closely contacted with said recessed part 13. In addition, bending is imparted to the optical fiber 1 to be detected along the recessed part 13 and light power leaked and emitted to the outside is efficiently incident on the incident end of the optical fiber 16 at the bent part and guided to an element 20 to be detected. The member 12 is attached to the member 11 by a hinge and the protruded part 14 is pressed to the recessed part 13 by a spring 22. By this structure, if the number of the optical fibers 16 are increased, an attenuation amount becomes small and efficient measurement is enabled.

CONSTITUTION:In calling an end A from an end B, an optical code 21 at the end B is connected to a terminal 22' and an optical signal of rectangular wave modulation from an ordering device 10 is sent for a proper time. An alarm generating device 18 detects the signal at the end A to energize a buzzer 19 to confirm the call and the optical code 21 is connected to the terminal 22' of the end A for ordering. In the calling from the end A to the end B, the procedure is conducted reversely. Thus, it is possible to call the opposite side at an optional time during measurement and the branching ratio of the optical branching device 14 is increased for the confirming only of a specific signal. Then the opposite party is called and subject to ordering in an optional time so as to improve the performance of work.

摘要： PURPOSE:To detect the signal of the optical fiber even at a fine part of cable wiring without cutting by bending the optical fiber with a member which has a bending-shape recessed part and a member which has a bending-shape projection part. CONSTITUTION:The optical fiber 10 to be tested is clamped between the bending-shape recessed part 3 and bending-shape projection part 9. Then, a screw 6 is operated to mesh the bending-shape recessed part 3 and bending-shape projection part 9 with each other, and the optical fiber 10 to be tested is bent. In this state, a leak of an optical signal from the optical fiber 10 to be tested is detected by a photodetector 4 arranged near the bending-shape recessed part 3 to identify a corresponding optical fiber.

CONSTITUTION:Small bends 24 are formed at two halfway points of the optical fiber 12, those parts are covered with container 20 respectively, and a photodetector 21 and a light source 22 are arranged in each container 20. Those photodetectors 21 are optoelectric converters, whose output electric signals are connected to reception terminals of transmitter receivers 23 respectively. The light sources 22 are electrooptic converters, whose electric signal inputs are connected to transmission terminals of the transmitter receivers 23 respectively. Handsets 13 is connected to the transmitter receivers 23 to allow a communication between those two positions, thereby making an encounter test.
